Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Athlete of the Year Award

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
Michelle Agyemang
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
