The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Mr. 2. This character can use their power to transform into an perfect replica of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a interpretation of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.
Escola will work alongside a number of new cast members tasked with bringing the group to reality, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the third season.
