The City boss confessed experiencing "embarrassment" following a confrontation with a TV crew member in the wake of Manchester City's 2-1 defeat away to the Magpies this past weekend.

At full time, an emotional Guardiola entered the St James’ Park pitch and engaged in intense talks with match official Sam Barrott and Magpies midfielder Bruno Guimarães, while also handling the broadcast crew's equipment.

He wouldn't mind if an opposition manager spoke to his players immediately after a game. "Not if you talk with respect as I do, it’s not a problem," he said, mentioning the referee. "The referee was involved for 95 minutes, 98 minutes, constantly. My God, very much so."

Controversial Decisions

City were unhappy that the officials denied a spot-kick on a Schär tackle against Foden, while they also questioned if Guimarães was offside on Barnes' goal the decisive strike. Pictures published later indicate the Brazilian was onside.

Upcoming Milestone

Guardiola will take charge of his 100th Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday. "It’s quite good, showing we compete we have been there," he commented.

City have 10 points after four games in the group, while Leverkusen have five.
