In a unexpected crossover event that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.
The adventure concentrates on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Features
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
